Drug and Alcohol Testing

Studies have shown that frequent drug and alcohol testing during the first year of sobriety can greatly reduce a person's risk of relapse and yield better outcomes overall. Consistent drug and alcohol monitoring, combined with recovery coaching and other support services, helps to set the stage for long-term success. Most important, comprehensive care - particularly in early recovery - promotes responsibility, accountability and transparency.

How It Works

The Recovery Coach offers drug and alcohol testing/monitoring services for individuals who either wish to add another layer of accountability to their recovery process, or for those who require ongoing screenings for legal and/or court-ordered purposes such as:

  • Divorce and Child Custody Cases
  • Probation
  • DUI/DWI
  • Employment
  • State licensing boards
Based on a client's needs, we implement frequent and random drug and alcohol tests to reinforce accountability and ensure he or she remains on track. Members of the individual's support team - including loved ones, medical or mental health professionals, attorneys, probation officers, court liaisons and state licensing boards - are reliably informed of his or her compliance/non-compliance with recovery requirements and recommendations.

Convenient and Confidential

We work with a national, full-service, accredited drug and alcohol testing service that serves as a liaison between HHS-certified laboratories and mental health professionals. Whether you are traveling for business or working with The Recovery Coach from a remote location, testing centers are conveniently accessible throughout all areas of the United States. Screenings are secure, confident and accurate; and same-day service is available.

Types of Drug and Alcohol Tests

Drug and alcohol tests are conducted at various HHS-certified laboratories throughout the U.S. by certified lab technicians. Individuals may choose from the following options: 5 Panel Drug Test + Alcohol (urine) - $75

  • Tests for alcohol; marijuana; PCP; cocaine; amphetamines (including methamphetamine); and opiates (codeine, morphine, heroin, opium and all other opiate-based drugs)

10 Panel Drug Test + Alcohol (urine) - $80
  • Tests for alcohol; amphetamines (including methamphetamine, ecstasy); cocaine: opiates (including codeine, morphine and heroin); phencyclidine; marijuana; benzodiazepines; barbiturates; methadone; propoxyphene; and methaqualone

EtG Alcohol Test (urine) - $120
with 5-Panel Urine Drug Test - $145
with 10-Panel Urine Drug Test - $155
  • Highlights alcohol consumption within the last 80 hours

Breath Alcohol Test (BAT) - $65
  • Measures the breath alcohol concentration, which correlates with blood alcohol concentration. The test is performed by a qualified breath alcohol technician, or BAT technician, using an evidential breath testing device (EBT).

EtG Alcohol (hair follicle) - $275
  • A metabolite of alcohol called ETG can show in hair after about 7 days and up to about 90 days. The 1.5-inch sample of about 200 strands of hair (about the size of a #2 pencil) closest to the scalp will give 100mg of hair, the ideal sample for screening and confirmation.
